Ponna Arumugam, as the Chief Information Officer and Senior Executive Vice President of Customer Operations at MicroStrategy, boasts a vast global technology leadership background. Since joining MicroStrategy in 2018, first as the Executive Vice President & CIO and later elevated to Senior Executive Vice President & CIO in November 2020, Ponna has demonstrated exceptional leadership. Prior to MicroStrategy, she held pivotal roles at HCL, CEB (acquired by Gartner), and Symantec, showcasing her prowess in technology leadership and strategy formulation.

Her journey in technology leadership began at Thomson Reuters, where she spent over 14 years, honing her skills across diverse roles, integrating global teams, and optimizing product development. Ponna's early career included roles at Unisys, OkiData, and as a Research Scientist for the Department of Defense in India.

Ponna holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University, Pennsylvania, underpinning her expertise and success in steering complex technology initiatives. Her ability to mentor talent, drive efficiencies, and manage finances reflects her remarkable hands-on leadership and strategic acumen.
