Vijaya Kaza is the Chief Security Officer and Head of Engineering for Trust and Safety at Airbnb, where she leads teams focused on safeguarding the Airbnb community and securing the company's infrastructure and information assets. She is also the executive co-sponsor of Airbnb Tech’s Diversity Council, advocating for diversity and inclusion within the tech community.
Kaza brings over two decades of experience in cybersecurity, having previously spent 17 years at Cisco, where she led product development for a $1 billion security product portfolio. She then moved to FireEye, where she played a pivotal role in helping the company transition from on-premises solutions to a cloud/SaaS business model while driving growth in their cloud security portfolio. Kaza's expertise also includes leading both Product Management and Engineering in a General Manager capacity.
She later joined Lookout, a San Francisco-based startup focused on mobile security, where she led product development. Her experience at Lookout, particularly in the consumer security space, laid the foundation for her eventual role at Airbnb, where she now oversees the development of AI models, platforms, and tools to enhance safety and security within the Airbnb community.
