Before joining Medtronic, Rashmi Kumar served as SVP and CIO of HPE Global IT, where she was responsible for the worldwide implementation of the Digital Transformation Program.
She brings a wealth of knowledge to the position; with 30+ years in technology leadership across industries, her extensive background encompasses ERP operations, board-facing roles and cybersecurity expertise. As an accomplished turnaround- and growth-oriented Chief Information Officer, Mrs. Kumar has leveraged her multifunctional abilities to drive success on many fronts. Rashmi Kumar has served as CIO and CTO for many Fortune 50 companies like, McKesson, Southern California Edison, Toyota, HPE, and Tata Steel. Rashmi achieved a degree in metallurgical engineering from the esteemed Bihar Institute of Technology in Sindri, India and then proceeded to earn an MBA from UC Irvine's renowned Paul Merage School of Business.
