Kate Prouty is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Akamai. In her role, she leads Akamai’s Information Technology organization, driving business transformation through the global strategy, development, and management of applications and IT infrastructure. Her leadership ensures agile and efficient user experiences for Akamai’s customers, employees, and partners.

Before becoming CIO, Kate worked closely with leaders across Akamai in HR, Finance, Platform Engineering, Product Development, Services, and Sales, gaining a deep understanding of security, risk, and compliance critical to the industry and Akamai’s operations.

Kate’s career prior to Akamai includes various technology roles, such as network administration, system administration, database administration, and software implementation at Fleet Financial and Digitas. She brings a wealth of technical expertise and a proven track record of operational excellence to her leadership at Akamai.
