Amy Doherty is a seasoned technology leader with a strong background in transformation, information security, and operational excellence across both the public and private sectors. Currently at the World Bank, Amy brings a wealth of experience from her previous leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer at First Command Financial Services, where she spearheaded the transformation to agile business practices and modernized the company’s technology architecture and infrastructure to better serve America’s military families.
Prior to her time at First Command, Amy was the Chief Information Officer at the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), a leading social mission and membership organization. During her tenure, she transitioned the organization to an agile development methodology and migrated their services to the cloud. Her leadership also contributed to AARP being named the #2 Best Places to Work in IT by Computerworld.
Amy's early career included pivotal technology leadership roles at Freddie Mac, American Financial Realty Trust, and General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC) Commercial Mortgage. She holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration degree from Pennsylvania State University.
